There are many ways to contribute
to the life of the library!
How YOU can contribute...something for everybody...
Becoming a patron, using the library for a quiet place to read or work, writing a book review or making a suggestion, volunteering, participating in programs, these are all ways in which you help our library to thrive. You can also:
Make a financial contribution
Your contributions allow us to maintain and improve our collections, to expand the services that we can offer to the community, and to ensure that we have a vibrant library in Albany for years to come. To make a financial contribution, you can mail a check to: Albany Public Library, PO Box 194, Albany, VT 05820
Sponsor a library event
We are working to increase the programming and events we can offer to the community, and we need your help! If you would like to sponsor a specific event at the library, please contact the librarian at albanypubliclibraryvt@gmail.com to hear what is in the works.
Book donations
Due to our small size and lack of storage space, we are not always able to take book donations. Please contact the librarian at albanypubliclibraryvt@gmail.com to inquire about making a book donation.
Do you knit?
The library is collaborating with the local Head Start preschool to put together bags for families with new babies. These bags are part of the new baby visits that Noni Moore, the director of the Albany Early Education Head Start Preschool, organizes. Each bag will include board books, a knitted hat, and other resources for parents of a new little one. SO: if you knit and would like to be part of this project, or have other ideas of items that would be helpful for families, please be in touch!
