A Story Without an End: How to run role-playing games with Jessie Mayer

As role-playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons explode in popularity, you may wish to understand how to run them for other players. In this two class series an experienced GM (games-master) will walk you through the basics of how to understand and run these games.

On the first week, we will cover the basics of what a roleplaying game is and what some of the popular systems are today. Attendees will have the opportunity to create a character using the Dungeons and Dragons rule set and to play a small amount in order to get a feel for the game.

On the second week, we will cover brainstorming, safety, and group management, all the things that are very important in running one's own role-playing group. The class will endeavor to leave people feeling confident to begin creating and running their own role-playing adventure!
